The visiting Seahawks, led by Kayla Matthews, who had three home runs for the second consecutive game, racked up a big 12-3 win over Nooksack Valley on Friday.
Anacortes led 4-1 through five innings, then added four runs in the sixth and four more in the seventh to turn the matchup of conference leaders into a rout. Anacortes is now 6-0 in conference and 11-1 overall.
Matthews wound up 4-for-5 with five RBI. Kirsten Hiles was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Liz Crookes was 2-for-5 with two RBI and Jerika Duquaine was 2-for-3.
