Patricia Lois Otterstedt 1928 ~ 2012

Patricia Lois Otterstedt passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Ashley Gardens in Mount Vernon, WA. She was born on January 3, 1928 to Patricia Grace Loewenberg and Norman Nord in New York, NY. She married her husband Herman Otterstedt on April 5, 1947.

She had resided on 12th Street in Anacortes for 20+ years before moving to the memory center, and previously lived in Deer Harbor on Orcas Island where her and her husband owned and operated Otterstedt’s Restaurant. She was an excellent cook, and very much enjoyed cooking for others, be it for family members or in the restaurant. She was an avid reader and spent a lot of her time at the Anacortes library.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman, and her granddaughter Miranda.

She is survived by her five children: daughter Pat Darling, son Tom Otterstedt, daughter Diane Davey & husband Brent, daughter Suzanne Henson & husband Mike, daughter Lori McNannay, brother Bruce Loewenberg, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date in her honor. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in her name to the Anacortes Library, 1220 10th St., Anacortes, WA 98221.
