Don H. Weller 1940 ~ 2011

Don H. Weller, 71, of Anacortes, Washington, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington.

He was born on January 28, 1940 in Winthrop, Washington to Howard and Ressie Weller. Don graduated from Twisp High School, the University of Puget Sound, and Pacific Lutheran University.

He taught school at Curtis High School in University Place, WA, where he retired from in 1992.

Don enjoyed hiking and traveling. Don loved and was loved by his family and his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Penny; sisters, Mary Lee (Ray) and Berwyn Weller of Oregon; and brother, Richard Weller of Oregon. Don was the proud father of Dr. Kenneth Weller (Dr. Steffi Weller) and Dr. Vicki Aaberg (Glen). Don was also the proud grandfather of Mark, Kristin, and Ethan Weller, and Isaac and Isabel Aaberg.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Anacortes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity of choice.
