Carole Jane Carr Preble

Carole Jane Carr Preble, 78, of Porter, TX. God only lets us grow until we reach His perfection. On April 4th, 2012, she achieved the ultimate reward and is now at home with her LORD and Savior.

She was a talented arts and crafts artisan. She was a member of the Anacortes Knotty Beaders Group and crocheted many donations to the Guemes Boys Home in Washington. During her time living in Washington she was a vendor selling her beautiful crocheted towels and jewelry at the Anacortes Farmers Market every summer. Upon returning to Porter, TX, from Anacortes, WA, she was a weekly participant in the New Caney Friendship Center activities.

She is survived by her son Richard Paul Preble Jr. and wife Gayla of Amarillo, TX, and daughters Linda Jane Preble Cooper of Porter, TX, and Michelle Darlene Preble Lay of Lafayette, LA, and by niece Lu Ann Wohlander of Anacortes, WA, and nephew Steven Fredrick Wohlander of Redmond, WA, and by grandchildren Amy Carole Miller, Beau Peters and wife Heather, Jason Brown and wife Amanda, Seth Preble, Jacqui Herndon, Nicole Reagan and husband John, Tiffany Richardson, Brandy Taylor, Revae Gipson and husband Layton, Elizabeth Taylor and John Michael Lay. She is survived by 22 great-grandchildren. A very special lady who shared her time and talents with others.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for April 20 at Humble Area First Baptist Church, Humble, TX, at 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service is scheduled for July 12th at Christ Episcopal Church at 1:00 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in her name to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association and the American Diabetes Association.
