A mock crash Thursday at Anacortes High School was part of the ‘Shattered Dreams’ program, which reminds students of the dangers of underage drinking, drinking and driving, and distracted driving.
Women danced with abandon in the streets of Anacortes on Valentine’s Day in solidarity with people around the world hoping to end violence against women and girls.
Nearly 50 vehicles, including police cars, ambulances, fire engines, classic cars and motorcycles, and a few hundred people turned out to celebrate Madelyn Kuhnlein’s last chemotherapy treatment.
