May 8, 1952: Candidate for Queen of the Skagit Valley Riding Club Rodeo is young Susan Robbins, 12-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Robbins, of this city. Sponsored by the Anacortes Venture club, Susan is pictured with her horse, ‘Patty.’ The Queen will reign over the club’s May 18 Rodeo, being held at the Fredonia grounds between Anacortes and Mount Vernon, on Memorial highway.
