ShelterBox on display for Rotarians Posted by Jack Darnton | Apr 18, 2012 | 324 views

Members and guests at the Anacortes Rotary Club’s noon meeting April 4 entered through a disaster relief tent that’s at the heart of every ShelterBox. The club has funded several $1,000 ShelterBoxes in recent years and learned more about the ShelterBox program at the meeting.

A ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and life-saving equipment such as tools, blankets, a stove, pans and utensils. Since 2000, ShelterBoxes have helped people survive and live in dignity and safety after more than 150 disasters in more than 70 countries. Visit www.shelterboxusa.org.
