Anacortes High School filmed its third annual lip dub Friday.
Students packed hallways and classrooms as junior videographer Max Magerkurth and senior director Mariel McCown snaked their way from a second-story hallway down to the cafeteria to the beat of "L.O.V." by Fitz and the Tantrums.
McCown said the hardest part of directing was trying to communicate her vision for the lip dub to other students and coordinating transitions as the students sang along with their assigned lyrics.
The lip dub will premiere at the AHS Film Festival Thursday night at Anacortes Cinemas.
The lip dub competition started in 2010 with Anacortes, Burlington, Mount Vernon, Sedro-Woolley and Oak Harbor high schools each trying to create the best video — filmed as one continuous shot around the school building with as many students as possible.
