Fidalgo Island residents John Tursi and Rick Machin were among recipients of awards given out by the Skagit Land Trust last month.
Tursi was presented with the Blue Heron Award, which recognizes a board member, staffer or volunteer who has shown an extraordinary dedication to the lands of Skagit County.
Machin was presented with the Outstanding Stewardship Volunteer Award in recognition of his dedication as a volunteer and stewardship committee member to the conservation lands of Skagit Land Trust and to natural areas throughout the county.
